Prognosis and Recovery Evaluation in Flexible Manufacturing Supervision

This paper presents two functions designed to help the decision-making process for process-failure recovery in a hierarchical and modular structure of control-monitoring of flexible manufacturing systems. Each control and monitoring module can confine the consequence of a process failure by proposing local recovery solutions. The elaboration of such curative solutions is furthered by the knowledge of the details of the situation following from the failure. The prognosis function foresees the unavoidable consequences of the failure on the future operation of the workshop. The recovery evaluation is necessary to foresee what are the global consequences of the introduction of a corrective sequence on the current schedule. RÉSUMÉ. Cet article présente deux fonctions d'aide à la décision pour le recouvrement de défaillance dans une structure de contrôle-commande de systèmes de production flexibles. Chaque module de commande-surveillance a la possibilité de confiner les conséquences d'une défaillance du procédé en proposant des solutions locales de recouvrement L'élaboration de telles solutions curatives est facilitée par la connaissance exacte de l'état réel du procédé découlant de la défaillance. La fonction pronostic prévoit les conséquences inévitables de la défaillance sur le fonctionnement futur de l'installation. La fonction évaluation de la reprise met en évidence les conséquences globales de l'insertion dans l'ordonnancement prévisionnel d'une séquence curative de traitement.
